Root and Bloom Garden Club
Root & Bloom Garden Club is a dynamic gathering of individuals who share a love of gardening. Members bring a wide range of interests, talents, and experience levels to the group, and we enjoy sharing and learning from each other,
as well as from our varied speakers.
If you enjoy gardening and anything involving flowers, landscaping or crafting and designing all things floral,
we are a club you will enjoy! We have monthly meetings all year on the 3rd Monday of each month
from 10am-2pm. We also have District meetings 4 times a year. The dues are very affordable at $25 a year.
No one needs to be a master at any of the above - just have a love and appreciation of the beauty around us.
There are many activities in which you may participate. At the Floral Building at the Pierce County Fair in Graham every August, we provide clerks for judges, hostesses and help with the children's planting table. We also do some great garden therapy at the Silver Creek Retirement & Assisted Living, donate to a local Food Bank, have door prizes and
plant sales at our meetings too.
We maintain a landscape area at the Dryer Masonic Center and have just completed a new pollinator garden
at the South Hill Library.
Our club has been involved in the plantings of Rain Gardens in a neighborhood in Puyallup, which is a great
conservation project. In addition, we helped plant over 500 bulbs at the Soldiers Home in Orting.
There is always something to keep you busy!
You know those flowers in your yard when you buy or rent a new place and you have no idea what they are? Well guess what! These women can help you find out what they are and how to add more for a wonderful yard. It's like hanging out with your favorite Aunt or Grandmother. So, while your kids are in school, your husband is at work, or if he's home please bring him also, for a grown-up playdate. Grab your girlfriend, sister, mom or whomever and join us.
We are a member of the Hill & Dale District Garden Clubs, a member of the Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs, Pacific Region Garden Clubs and National Garden Clubs.
There are 9 districts in Washington State with over 130 Garden Clubs.
